This will be the third year that I have invited friends of Sweeney Healthcare to go on mission with me to southern India. I have served on the board of directors of The Rhema Project for the last 9 years. The project was started by a dear friend, Dan Blacketor who witnessed the drowning of a baby girl by her family. He soon found out that female infanticide is a common practice in rural India and decided to do something about it. The Rhema Project was named for the first girl baby he saved about 9 years ago. The mission now looks like an orphanage and nursing program for girls in Danishpet, in the southern part of India.

The trip dates for this year are January 23 to February 3, 2019.  We will be having informational calls about the trip so that you can be sure if it’s a good fit for you. I have been blessed in my life to see a lot of the world and there is no place that compares to India when it comes to the AMAZING FACTOR!

Our accommodations will range anywhere from camp-like (think mosquito net and cots) to finer Indian hotels (but don’t think Hyatt).  This trip is NOT for everyone.  It is warm. The days are long and often unpredictable. It is sensory overload at its best- but I promise it will be one of the most memorable and impactful things you will ever do in your life!

Of course, we wouldn’t travel all those miles without taking

a day to visit one of the 7 Wonders of the World, The

Taj Mahal, located in Agra!  It is a wonder!
